The Practices of M2L
A Menu of Ways to Be With God
Use this like a menu, not a strict program. You do not need to use every item. You do not need to follow the order. Let the Holy Spirit lead you moment by moment. Move slowly. Take your time. You are spending time with the One who loves you.
Each practice is a door into His presence. Walk through whichever one calls to you today.
1. Stillness and Waiting
The quieting posture. Slowing down, silencing the noise, and simply being present to God.
Stillness and Quiet Before God
Becoming present and calming our inner world. To acknowledge God and silence distractions.
Sit quietly and whisper, "Here I am, Lord."
Waiting on the Lord
Remaining present without rushing. God renews and strengthens in waiting.
Sit silently with God for several minutes.
Resting in God's Presence
Being with God without effort or striving. Love grows in rest.
Sit quietly with God like with a close friend.
Breath Prayers
Pair breathing with short phrases of love and trust directed toward Him.
